My view on crime rate
Editor iKDN | 28 Julai 09 8:00pm

Dear sir / madam:

First and foremost, I really appreciate the opportunity to be able to air my view along with many others in this country to the home ministry that is now willing to hear from the public concerning the surging crime rate around the country.

Safety and security is really a basic need of the human being, government in working with the police force seriously need to strategize, plan and implement a comprehensive and wholesome programmes and initiatives that enhance public safety for the general public in this country, this has a direct impact on people's quality of life as we need to feel at ease in place where they and their families live, work and play. As well, this also has a direct impact on the foreign investors doing businesses here, investors and businessmen who do their businesses here need to be assured that they can do their businesses here in anywhere in Malaysia with peace of mind knowing that their families, place of doing businesses are safe and secure.

My hope and dream is that everywhere in Malaysia can one day feel as safe as our neighbour country, Singapore or other Asian city such as Hong Kong that went though similar painstaking overhaul and transformation in their police force and launching of many public safety initiatives some 20 years ago.

Thank you,

--
Sincerely,
Ben Goh
